Camunda Community Summit 2023 Recap

On May 10 and 11, 2023, we had the pleasure to attend the Camunda Community Summit in Berlin and get a deep insight into what's going on in the Camunda community and its developments. The focus this year was clearly on the migration from Camunda 7 to Camunda 8, as well as the various Camunda Connectors that enable automation without code.

On the first day, a Hackday, different workshops and an Unconference took place. On Hackday, participants had five hours to develop connectors and migrators for Camunda 8. The results were presented and awarded in the evening. During the workshops, live connectors were built and the self-managed platform was set up. At the Unconference, community topics could be addressed and discussed in small groups, with Camunda experts acting as moderators.

After a day full of impressions, insights and the opportunity to make new contacts, Camunda ended the day at the Westhafen with a barbecue and a concert by the Berlin Boom Orchestra.

The second day was dedicated to partner and Camunda presentations, which provided technical insights into Connectors and projects.

Overall, there was a familiar and pleasant atmosphere that made it possible to dive deep into the Camunda Community and experience it up close. We are already looking forward to the next Camunda Community Summit, which will take place for the first time together with CamundaCon on May 15 and 16, 2024 in Berlin.
